At Skeeters, we believe that axe throwing has the potential to be more than just a fun night out in London. Having built our venue from scratch, transforming a brownfield site into a bustling hotspot for the most badass sport in town, we want to share the benefits of joining a community like ours with.

Although it may seem dangerous, throwing an axe at a target from twelve feet is child’s play once you get the hang of it. We have a team of dedicated and diverse instructors who will guide you every step of the way until you can hit the target with confidence. Hailing from all walks of life, our team is a reflection of our firm belief that the sport of axe throwing is for everybody.

In the post-lockdown world where many of us, having endured limited social contact during isolation, are now increasingly working from home, a sense of community has never been more important. Sharing experience with your peers is a fundamental part of the human condition. Through sharing we are able to alleviate stress, build on common experience and support each other’s perpetual growth. Countless studies have shown that the healthiest and happiest human communities are all bound by a powerful sense of togetherness and mutual support. 

Our aim with Skeeters, above and beyond being a business, has always been to contribute a space in which we can gather with like-minded, friendly faces to get away from the stresses and strains of our day to day lives. 

At Skeeters we welcome anybody to come and try our beloved sport. We are a fully accessible venue, where discrimination of any kind is never tolerated. The Skeeters axe  hall is a space away from criticism, where we all support each other to learn and get better. We envision our home as a kind of Lebowski bowling alley, with more representation and less of Walter Sobchak telling Donny “You’re out of your element!”

If you don’t believe us, come and check out our weekly club and league night. On Tuesday night Skeeters comes alive with our axe throwing league and social club atmosphere. This is a night for regulars, where one and all come to showcase their skills. Special games and a raucous atmosphere make this a night to remember, and we are proud of the fact that we continue to see more and more of the same faces coming back each week. 

For those with a competitive bend, our league is a fantastic way to put your skills to the test against the very best. It makes for brilliant spectating and for those who just want to come for the vibe, club night is all yours. The winner of our league is rewarded in true viking style with a reconditioned antique axe (next stop, Valhalla!). And for those with champions blood flowing through their veins, the top 16 players enter into a knockout game with the winner getting their name engraved on our Trophy.
